Hi everyone, my Apple/Google Pay via Woopayments stopped working about a month ago, and I’m not sure how to go about fixing it.
I’ve generated some detailed logs, and the culprit seems to be this message:
2024-05-21T19:25:30+00:00 Info Order price is 0 ( Payment Request button disabled )
and
2024-05-21T19:54:03+00:00 Info Product page has unsupported product type ( Payment Request button disabled )
This is interesting, since on the actual Apple/Google pay interface, the price is clearly listed properly. This issue persists on our website with simple OR variable products. The message that appears on the woocommerce cart that is visible to users is either simply “Invalid Payment Method” for Apple or “Billing Street address is a required field. Invalid payment method.” for Google. We’ve triple checked- all information is present within our Apple/Google accounts. We get about a dozen or so failed payments like this every day, so it’s not an issue with our testing environment.
So far, my suspicion is that somehow, the payment/customer data within Apple/Google is not getting sent back to Woocommerce, or vice versa. Also, keep in mind that this payment gateway used to work just fine.
In the WooPayments dashboard, we see a message that reads “One or more of your extensions alters checkout fields. This might cause issues with this payment method.”. We’ve checked by disabling the obvious plugins, to no avail. I cannot disable ALL plugins because this is a live ecommerce site with high sales volume, and all revenue from non Apple/Google sources is still up. My current theme is Neve.
These payment gateways worked all the way up until April 9th. I use Cloudflare as a CDN but have disabled Rocket Loader. I host with Siteground, and already tried disabling any optimization features that relate to Javascript.
